On the evening of Saturday 21st September 2019 the Propeller Club of Manila held a charity fundraising dinner and auction to help raise funds for their scholarship program. The propeller Club sponsor underprivileged youths from all over the Philippines to take vocational training in Fitter Machinist & Culinary courses here in Manila as well as the students board and lodgings. Capt. Stu who is on the board of directors and culinary scholar Romel Art Lombojon who will soon be joining M/T Venice A as catering trainee for his first contract attended the event. CCFI through the generosity of Mr. Demetrios Koukoulas kindly donated 10,000 Pesos which will be spent on recreational equipment including a dartboard & darts, Chess Sets, Scrabble, and other board games for the dormitory where the scholars live.
